About This Agreement
This Contributor Licence Agreement ("Agreement") sets out the terms under which you ("the Contributor") submit original creative work ("the Contribution") to The Beyond Comic, published by Beyond Driven Ltd ("Beyond Driven", "we", "us"). By submitting the contribution form on this website you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the terms of this Agreement.
Ownership of Your Work
You retain full copyright ownership of your Contribution. Nothing in this Agreement transfers copyright to Beyond Driven Ltd. We are granted a licence to use your work as described below, but ownership remains with you.
Licence Granted to Beyond Driven Ltd
By submitting your Contribution you grant Beyond Driven Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, reproduce, distribute and display your Contribution in The Beyond Comic in both print and digital formats. This includes but is not limited to: printed issues of the comic, digital editions, website previews, social media promotion, press materials and any other promotional use directly related to The Beyond Comic. This licence is granted for the full duration of copyright in the Contribution.
Payment
We pay for all Contributions that are accepted and featured in a published issue of The Beyond Comic. We will contact you directly to confirm acceptance, agree the fee, and confirm which issue your work will appear in. Submission of this form does not guarantee publication or payment.
Originality and Ownership
You confirm that: (a) the Contribution is your own original work; (b) you are the sole owner of the rights being licensed, or have the authority to grant this licence on behalf of any joint creators; (c) the Contribution does not infringe the copyright, trademark, moral rights or any other intellectual property rights of any third party; and (d) you accept full responsibility for the authorship and content of the Contribution.
Generative AI
The Beyond Comic does not publish content that has been created in whole or in part using generative artificial intelligence tools (including but not limited to image generation models, large language models, or AI-assisted illustration tools). By submitting your Contribution you confirm that it is entirely human-made and that no AI-generated content has been used in its creation.
Age Suitability
The Beyond Comic is produced for children aged 5 to 10 years old. You confirm that your Contribution is suitable for this age group and contains no content that is violent, sexual, discriminatory, offensive or otherwise inappropriate for young children.
Moral Rights
You agree to waive any moral rights you may have in the Contribution to the extent necessary to allow Beyond Driven Ltd to edit, adapt or reformat the work for layout and production purposes. We will always endeavour to credit contributors where practical.
Editorial Rights
Beyond Driven Ltd reserves the right to edit, adapt or decline any Contribution at its sole discretion. We are under no obligation to publish a submitted Contribution.
Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
